No because you can not change people's opinion's... also people of power e.g Police are employed to enforce the law and therefore equality yet they maybe 'Privately' racist.
Mundugumar - both sexes showed what we in Britain would regard as masculine characteristics. Both sexes were aggressive, both hated childbirth and both treated children in an offhand way.
its going to be really hard to ever have true equality within society, purely because everyone has different views on things. For example the older generation will have different views to the younger generation because of the way they have been brought up and the things they have been taught about and changes in the law.
An equal society wouldn't be great because the law wouldn't be needed as everyone would be equal. And anyway, even if everyone was 'equal' we would still find something else to argue against,
Moreover, people of power e.g Police have shown signs of institutional racism and their job is to enforce the law and therefore equality. Contradicting the fact that they are supposedly treating everybody equally.
Yes, equality in society can be achieved. Each job has it's own importance to society and it's functions. However, to achieve equality between genders and ethnic minorities more laws will have to be put in place.
this will probably make no sense but if equality was achieved, you'd need to get rid of the whole 'he' and 'she' concept, because that would be labelling. also there will always be physical differences between men and women, black and white and various other things
it will never be equal because no job can pay each person the same amount of money, and people will have a different education which then leads to different opportunities. people who have had better education are more likely to get better jobs, meaning they will be better off.
Peoples opinions can change this happens over time. But if the world was equal we wouldn't be able to do anything. Society would break down, because if everyone was equal, there would be no leader. The idea is of communism.

ReplyDeleteIt is possible, but highly unlikely because people have an opinion which laws may not change.
